RobCo Team

About RobCo

RobCo was founded in 2020, on a basis of 7 years of research at the industry-leading chair for robotics and AI at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Our vision is to enable robots for everyone. We want to offer companies of all sizes the opportunity to utilize our robot kit to intuitively automate their production. With our tailored All-in-One robot solution, we accompany SME’s in their transformation process to Industry 4.0.

In addition to the modular and intuitive assembly of our robot kit and the endless configuration possibilities, what makes them stand out is the unique software. Based on the research results of the robotics chair at TU Munich, we have developed a software that enables the modules to understand which configuration they are currently in, and for which application they are being used. This guarantees the quick and easy plug & play application of our kit without complex programming or specialized staff.

Our Founders

  • Roman Hölzl

    Roman Hölzl

Roman holds graduate degrees in both Human Factors Engineering and Technology Management from TUM, CDTM and Harvard. He accompanied the digital transformation of operation processes at Tesla Motors and Kuka, where he worked on leveraging robotics in manufacturing. Before co-founding RobCo in 2020, he was a research fellow in Human-Robot Interaction at Harvard.

  • Paul Maroldt

    Paul Maroldt

Paul studied mechanical engineering and robotics at TU Munich. During that time he was active in higher education politics, taking part in the TUM senate for two consecutive years. Before founding RobCo in 2020, he briefly worked at the TUM chair of robotics, artificial intelligence and real-time systems.

  • Constantin Dresel

    Constantin Dresel

Constantin has a background in robotics and automation from his studies at the University of Heilbronn and TU Munich. He gained experience in the software and mechatronics departments of SCHUNK and Weiss Robotics. He then continued his work at the robotics chair at TUM before co-founding RobCo.
