RobCo Presents The New Version of Its No-Code Programming Interface RobFlow.
- Visualization of the connected robot, its modules and peripherals
- Creation, editing and monitoring of variables
- Password-protected authentication process when opening editors, dashboards or the robot configuration
Munich, March 19, 2024 - RobCo, the expert for modular, affordable, and connected robot automation solutions for SMEs, presents the latest version of its easy-to-use programming interface RobFlow 5. Based on the RobCo Studio Software Platform, companies can configure, implement, and manage their robots via a digital twin using RobFlow. The no-code concept makes quick and easy plug-and-play deployment possible in just a few days. This makes RobCo's technology particularly suitable for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with limited financial and human resources - whether for machine loading, palletizing, dispensing, or welding. The RobCo portfolio includes hardware as well as on-premise and cloud software. Customers therefore receive everything from a single source.
RobFlow 5 offers new functionalities such as the Robot Visualizer, which can be used to visualize the configurations of connected robots and modules as well as their environments, such as conveyor belts or CNC machines - in the form of moving images.
It is now also possible to create, edit, and monitor variables that can be used for user-defined parameters. The following variable types are currently supported: Boolean, Integer, Float, Input, Output, the Modbus Holding Register, the Modbus Input Register, and Modbus Coil. Variables can be created both globally (for use in all programs) and locally (for a specific program). Alternatively, peripheral signals, for example, can be read and written to control a digital output or a PLC. This enables users to create professional and dynamic processes that meet the individual requirements of their business.
Dashboard widgets can be customized in color and size now with the new version too. Two additional button widgets have also been added: the generic button and the custom jog. Users can customize their functionality according to their wishes.
RobFlow 5 also has a password-protected authentication mechanism to ensure a high standard of security for RobFlow users. After the update, the users are now prompted to set a password for their first login. Only with this password can they use certain applications and execute processes in the future. This authentication process applies to opening the flow, sub-flow, and dashboard editors as well as the robot configuration and protected dashboards in the dashboard viewer.
Central User Interface for Easy Deployment of Industrial Robots
The RobFlow provides a central user interface with which robot deployment processes can be fully controlled, monitored, and analyzed. Access and operation are simple and intuitive, IoT and interfaces such as REST APIs and web sockets are integrated right from the start. Thanks to its wide range of features, RobFlow makes it possible to completely dispense with conventional PLCs as additional controllers. The entire process can be mapped in RobFlow without a break in operation between the robot and other active elements of a system.
Further Advantages of the RobFlow Interface:
- Free configuration of user dashboards
- Separate operating levels for different task areas
- Regular software updates
- Various program modules (nodes) can be integrated into the robot program via drag-and-drop
- Full IoT connectivity enables cloud-based analysis and remote support
- Automatic configuration detection by intelligent robot modules for positions, joint angles, and end effectors
"With the new version of our no-code programming interface RobFlow, we offer our customers even more extensive functionalities for the use of intelligent, easy-to-implement, and easy-to-operate robots" emphasizes Roman Hölzl, CEO and co-founder of RobCo. "Many important processes are now even more intuitive, transparent, and efficient. This brings us a big step closer to our vision of making the successful use of robot technology as quick, simple, and effortless as possible thus alleviating the shortage of skilled workers. This means that even companies without expert knowledge will have easy plug-and-play access to robot automation."
