Our strategic partnership with FMB

FMB Maschinenbau Logo

As a provider of automation solutions for loading and unloading machine tools, FMB Maschinenbaugesellschaft has been established since 1980. With their innovative FMB Base automation kit, they offer the ideal economical automation solution for small and medium-sized companies - and their flexibility also makes it possible to pave the way for automation for contract manufacturers with changing component variants.

The flexible automation solution that can do more

Universally applicable, with variable configurability both in base and in robot applications, the FMB Base with our RobCo robot offers an expandable, flexible and intuitive overall solution.

With simple plug and play, the various modules of the modular system can be combined to form a suitable overall system for your application. The areas of application are varied and range from machine assembly, component processing and assembly to palletizing and packaging.

The base module, which can be supplemented by various modules, together with our robot, makes it a universally adaptable automation solution for most applications - a true miracle of flexibility that requires minimal integration and can increase the productivity of your company without delay.

Modularity in base and robot

Even with the basic configuration, consisting of base, robot and workpiece magazine, machine tools can be loaded and unloaded. In order to be able to be used for as many applications as possible, the “train station” serves as a connector for various machine tools. With direct, extension, functional and safety modules, the basic module can be expanded together with the robot to form a complete robot cell. Even complex automation cells can be installed via plug and play without further programming or electronics knowledge.

Similar to FMB Base, our robot also works according to the plug-and-play principle - it is simply assembled from various modules and automatically creates a digital twin of itself. With this and our intuitive software, every operator is able to teach the robot using a graphical interface. Our all-in-one robot solution takes on a variety of production steps - and even if you need the robot for another application after a while, you can convert and re-teach the robot yourself. Thanks to a mobile and flexible platform such as FMB Base, the robot can perform a new task in just a few minutes.

Use cases

Be- und Entladen einer Werkzeugmaschine, Montage von Bauteilen und Palettieren

Due to the modularity of the FMB Base and the robot, there are hardly any limits to the application. The areas of applications are varied and range from machine assembly, component processing to palletizing and packaging. Our automation solution is particularly interesting for small and medium-sized companies that want to produce economically with changing component variants. The cooperation enables manufacturing companies or machine and plant manufacturers to use an innovative and individually assembled robot system quickly and easily.
