wodewa GmbH increases efficiency and reduces costs with the help of RobCo

Die wodewa GmbH Based in Germany, produces high-quality saw veneers, wooden privacy screens for double rod fences, wall paneling, acoustic panels and wooden lamps. In order to ensure high product quality, the company is paying more attention to reliable production processes. For this reason, wodewa is now automating repetitive and manual tasks with RobCo — such as dipping wooden slats in paint and then hanging them into a drying rack. As a result, wodewa not only counteracts personnel fluctuations and the shortage of skilled workers, but at the same time increases its efficiency and productivity cost-effectively. On average, Wodewa is able to save around 3,000 euros per month through this process automation of diving and the resulting autonomy time and night shift.

Quick and easy set-up

Co-founder and managing director Mario Schöbel attaches great importance to a profound understanding of production processes, which is why a service provider for classic industrial robots was out of the question for him. The seamless integration into the existing production environment and RobCo's no-code software enable commissioning even for employees without IT knowledge. The modular configurations can be assembled exactly according to specific requirements and easily modified for any number of applications.

The first RobCo robot was programmed and commissioned by wodewa employees themselves with the help of the automation guide provided. This guides the user through the individual robot configuration in a simple and understandable way. The complete integration takes just ten days in total. In addition, a digital twin of the industrial robot based on a 3D scan makes administration easier. Barriers and light barriers ensure safe cooperation between man and machine — and thus ensure smooth and safe use of industrial robots.

RobCo also offers all solutions as a cost-effective rental model to guarantee maximum flexibility with low investment. This rental model offers Wodewa added value for the profitability calculation of investments, as the costs for production employees can be compared directly with the monthly rental price.

“RobCo robots were our first choice. The unbeatable rental price and the quick, easy set-up convinced us. Being able to implement automation myself and make adjustments myself gives me, as managing director, the opportunity to take control of my processes myself.”

Mario Schoebel, Managing Director and owner at wodewa GmbH
